An otherwise unremarkable-looking Turkish man, Alexius walks with a severe limp due the deformities of his embrace, supporting himself with a staff topped by a well-worn Byzantine crucifix. Alexius is extremely defensive of it and woe be it to whomever touches his precious possession without his leave to do so.
As a former prelate of the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople, Alexius struggled with the curse of the embrace and his place in God’s design. Once his Accounting was complete, he believed that the only way to liberate the Holy Land was to corrupt Islamic leaders, just as he himself had been corrupted. A Muslim warlord named Khalid was his first victim, who killed many of his own men in his first frenzy. His religious intolerance and motives have earned him the enmity of his rumored broodmate, Tarique al-Hajj, a Muslim Nosferatu and the founder of a prominent Ashirra lineage. Underhanded tactics and limp aside, Alexius is a powerful warrior, and was able to beat the Assamite Talaq in single combat.
Alexius joined the Sabbat Inquisition in 1851 CE and quickly rose through the ranks.
