Physical Description

The word most likely to come to mind when looking at Bashir is “soft”. A round-bodied, broad-shouldered Indian man, Bashir gives the impression of being smaller than he is, rarely standing straight and lounging as often as possible. He has short hair, heavy expressive brows, and a close beard. He dresses in linen shirts and lungi, and goes barefoot.

Brief History

Bashir was the unhappy son of a cattle merchant of the Vaishya caste in Vedic India. He wanted nothing to do with cattle, but schools were reserved for the Brahmin caste. Through bribery and persistence, he convinced a young scholar to share what he was learning of the Vedas and quickly excelled in Vedic Astrology. One evening in the marketplace of Kosambi (present day Allahabad), Ramessu overheard him talking with his father, explaining how to calculate the passage of the moon, its exact place in the sky at any time on any day, and Embraced him soon after. From that point on, Bashir embraced the role of teacher to Ramessu, his lineage, and any Ravnos hungry for knowledge. He settled in Ujjan and there he has stayed, mastering the Veda and expanding his studies to the occult and Thaumaturgy. A listener and not a fighter, Bashir has made enemies within India for his willingness to embrace and encourage any invading culture, no matter how violent, seeing each as an opportunity to expand his knowledge.

Current Status

Rumored to still be in Ujjan.
