|Though a merchant in life, following his embrace Basir undertook a pilgrimage seeking knowledge of the nature of reality, belief, life, death, and perception, this journey would take him across most of India, and eventually to the Court of Strasbourg, France. After spending nearly five decades there, he disappeared, reappearing during the rise of the Qajar Dynasty, when he took up a place among the Ashirra, continuing to study. Following the Week of Nightmares in 1999, he again disappeared, only recently reappearing, this time in America.
