Chronicle Teaser

“Time is too slow for those who wait,
too swift for those who fear,
too long for those who grieve,
too short for those who rejoice,
but for those who love, time is eternity.”
- Henry Van Dyke

The Garou of the Sept of the Eastern Skies has had its hard times - and while they are closely allied with the Rokea in Essex - this has been a new alliance over the past few years. As the sharks attempted to handle their own, the Garou within the Sept of the Eastern Skies were busy fighting to keep their Caern alive. Much to their dismay, they failed. This has caused somewhat of a rift between those who fought and those who fled. While the Sept received a Caern shard from the Stargazers in China, it is up to the young to stand up.

Being so close to the Great Marsh (area of critical environmental concern), what threats are nearby? Can the Rokea maintain a peaceful existence with the Garou?

Sept Description: The Sept is located in between the borders of the Willowdale State Forest and Bradley Palmer State Park. Originally, this Sept was small - large enough to protect itself, but small enough to remain isolated. Howl of Rage attempted to do everything in his power to save the Caern, and almost cost the lives of those who lived there. Forced to retreat, he did not give up - and thus, they retook the lands after he bartered a deal with the Stargazers. Some say, he did so rather reluctantly. Others state it was nothing more than his old age blinding his usual prejudices. What is for certain is someone in the Beast Court had a soft spot for the Fallen Stargazer of the Sept - Ms. Mills.

The Sept is looking to find new leadership among the youth.

Sept Timeline

  • 1872 - The Sept of the Eastern Skies was founded.

Storyteller Notes

  • Rokea are advised to be fairly cautious when arriving to the Sept. Those who have had a past, who aided, can speak for the newcomers.

  • Fera have been welcome since the announcement of the unification- this does not mean that they are without prejudice of NPCs or PCs depending on their storyline and/or background. The Rokea are a different beast - and there has been friction since 2010. Any new Rokea must be presented by a sponsor.

  • Allies: This game is designed to rely on each-other. Characters will learn of new allies as the story progresses. Current allies are those NPCs in and around the Sept. The names are in the proposed mechanics.

  • Enemies: There are rumors of the Bradley State Park begin closed down, which is connected to Willowdale State Park. This could be a number of things, reasons, enemies such as BSDs, Vampires, Wraiths, your own selves, or simply mortals.

  • Travel bans/dangers/restrictions: None at this time. Subject to change.
  • Medium Threat - Characters should expect a medium threat rating to scenes that are announced as such. These quests may have an unexpected combat.
