Physical Description

Dmitri is a perfect physical specimen of Greek heritage. He stands roughly 5’8” feet tall and for all accounts seems to be chiseled out of stone. He is visibly armed at all times, carrying a xiphos-style sword.

Brief History

Dmitri was a renowned soldier of the Greek army during the Gallic invasions. He was promoted to the rank of General for his legendary tactical prowess and mysteriously fell to an assassin’s blade during the Second Syrian War. Dmitri was originally chosen for the embrace as a Warrior, but was embraced by Nakurtum into the Vizier caste for his empathy to his fellow soldiers and knowledge of battlefield medicine. Dmitri initially had a hard time transitioning to vampiric society. He often lashed out or disagreed with his superiors on matters of policy and tactics. He very briefly held the Seat of Wind and Stone, but was removed for his attachment to mortal society. Despite instructions from the Clan, Dmitri often left Alamut secretly to expand his knowledge of mortal warfare. During the Anarch Revolt, he became briefly intrigued by the guerilla tactics of the Anarchs and became something of an advisor to groupings of Anarchs. Likely because of his ties to the Anarchs, he was outraged at his Clan for allowing the Blood Curse and not fighting back against the Camarilla. Initially his reaction was to rally support for a physical confrontation with the Tremere, but his military mind eventually overruled his soldiers instinct. Dmitri left Alamut to uphold his Clan’s ideals from a less structured society. His rebellious nature was infectious and others followed him.

Current Status

Since the lifting of the Blood Curse, he is rarely seen. His presence has been scarce but a great many Assamites outside the Mountain still tell stories about him. Still active and awake, he struggles with his hatred of the Tremere, and he may have joined the other Viziers. There are rumors that he still provides counsel to the modern Anarch Movement, but they have not been substantiated.

Lineage Criteria

Time Frame for Embraces:

  • 200 BCE to 1500 CE

Requirements:

  • PC Sects/Factions: Any Sect, and Unaligned (Mountain Loyal or Dispossessed).
  • Path: Any.
  • Skills: Despite being a Vizier, Dmitri still remembers his days as a mortal combatant. His childer are not chosen simply for their insight and mental abilities. He insists that his childer have at least one physical skill, be it the use of weapons, athletics, or hand to hand combat with some level of mastery (3+).
  • Special: Dmitri abhors slavery of any kind. He detests the blood bond. Any mentions of the Blood Curse rile him up and he continues to hate all things Tremere. Members of his lineage never use the blood bond as a means of control and are often taught early on the atrocities of the Tremere clan. Many have lore concentrations in Tremere.
  • Skills: Dmitri’s greatest weapon is his mind. He sees most things, when thinking clearly, as pieces on a chessboard. His childer often have academia or leadership skills (3+) that complement their Sire’s knowledge.
