Mictlantecuhtli (pronounced Mict-lan-te-cuht-li and also known as the Wanderer) is a stocky, barrel chested man with brawny arms who has the air of a small bear. His Coast Salish heritage can be clearly seen in his high cheekbones, bronze skin, and thick black hair that falls past his shoulders. A strong brow and piercing eyes mark him as someone who is used to immediate obedience from those around him.
The name Mictlantecuhtli was born with has been lost to time, but he once lived in a small Native American fishing settlement in the area that would eventually become Vancouver. He was embraced by a strange wanderer who passed through the area, impressing the local population with his speed and strength, after following that stranger into the woods and being mauled by a grizzly bear, the stranger offered him an escape from death and Mictlantecuhtli accepted. He never saw his sire again, but knew that he couldn’t return home in his current state, and wandered south. Two centuries later, he made his way down to Mexico where he revealed himself to the Mayas, who worshipped him like a god. The Mayan priests practiced blood magic, which Mictlantecuhtli found fascinating, and he devoted himself to learning what he could about their rituals. He established amicable and respectful relations with the werewolves and they considered him a feudal lord of sorts and paid him tribute, but despite this and the worship of his followers, Mictantecuhtli had never stayed with the childer he embraced over the years, and became lonely without a companion that was his equal. Eventually, a Nosferatu crossed his path and the two bonded, meeting every night for a month and sharing stories, and so he first heard tales of a great war between the Kindred. The Nosferatu asked Mictlantecuhtli to join his side, but he found the idea of such a war troubling and did not want to be a part of it. Eventually Mictlantecuhtli’s soul became weary with the world and decided it was time to sleep. He made preparations with his priests and the Lupines to protect his city while he was gone. Since then he has slept over 400 years beneath his central pyramid in the city of Tzental.
Rumors of his awakening have begun in the last 100 years, but no reliable sightings have been reported.

- PC Sects/Factions: Any, except the Sabbat.
- Path: Any. Some follow Death and the Soul, Harmony, and Orion.
- Special: Historically Mictlantecuhtli’s accounting practices are particularly weak as typically he embraced childer for selfish purposes to either learn something or gain access to something, be it societal interaction or something physical.
- Special: Childer must be respectful with their relations with the werewolves and the kine. Because of this he has no known children in the Sabbat and his lineage detests the sect.
