Riona is pleasantly curvy, with flowing purple hair of unknown origin and unnaturally bright green eyes. She often is adorned with accessories from her homeland or travels, and dresses modestly but luxuriously, so that she may curl up and enjoy the spectacle of a Camarilla Court at a moment's notice.
Riona is ingratiating and with a regal bearing, and is used to acting as an emissary and diplomat. She doesn't have much patience for those she considers unworthy, but judges based on character rather than social standing.
Riona spent much of her early years secluded with her Sire but has been active off and on since the 1800s. Traveling through Egypt and Europe, the two eventually arrived in America by way of New Orleans in the 1850s. She established herself in San Jose in the 1860s, preferring the presence of other kindred to help insulate herself and her clanmates from the Hunters up and down the California coast.
In 1927, Riona formed a partnership with a Rosicrucian by the name of H. Spencer Lewis and founded a public Egyptian museum as well as a private temple in the Rose Garden district. Despite Anarch takeover of the region in 1944, Riona’s tactful bargaining granted her sovereignty of her territory, where she focused on discretely helping other Followers of Set establish themselves in the area. Through the late 1900s, attendance at both the Museum and Temple flourished. The Followers of Set, lead by Riona, keep a low profile in Camarilla society until around the founding of the Independent Alliance in 2011.
Rarely far from her grandchilde Adira, a fierce and bright woman whom Riona is happy to translate for when others insist on using English.
Was seen for a time in the company of Sebastien Delacroix but the two parted ways, and tension seems to hang in the air like static electricity between them whenever they are in the same room.
Riona's purple hair is the result of a curse, and she has spent most of her life hiding it in order to maintain the masquerade until hair dye became popular in the 1970s.
My childe is one of the rare night-blooming flowers that graces this land. Be wary, for her beauty in the darkness does not diminish the thorns. - Riyadh
I can definitely advise that Lady Riona is a shrewd and fair business partner. - Francesca Giovanni
