Notable Traits: Jaggling City Spirit (Weaver)
Sem has changed with their city over time. Originally focused upon the spiritual virtue of their citizens, driven by the Indiana Seminary, for many decades Sem grew increasingly proud and intellectual as the seminary became Indiana University, with both cerebral and artistic streaks. In recent decades, Sem’s personality has fractured more. Their moral imperative has been replaced by secular ethics held to such a high standard as to take on the feel of a zealous dogma of tolerance; their artistic flair is intact, but their intellectual side is unfocused and absent-minded.
When Sem first appeared, he was in the form of a stern, yet loving white man who expected virtuous piety in his city. Over time, the sternness was replaced with dual streaks of creativity and analytical discipline, with neat cropped hair giving way to a chaotic mane. In the last couple decades, their masculinity has given way to androgyny, their whiteness to racially ambiguous brownness, and their traditional, respectable style of scholarly dress to an unassuming, Bohemian grunge mystique including boots, flannel, piercings, and dreadlocks with the additional incongruous mark of lacquered nails.
- Sem is the sort of spirit most Garou would call a City Father, except that City Parent has been a more fitting label for the last couple decades.
- The local Garou around Bloomington have fallen out of touch with this spirit.
- The local pack Separation of Powers does have contact with Sem, but they're jealous and secretive about this monopoly on communication with them.
- Sem secretly killed Jeff Hendrix "Street Speaker" when the City Parent was falling to the Wyrm.
