A dedicated adherent of the Path of Allied Night, Serafino is an Ultra-Conservative faction Lasombra and a true believer in the purpose of the Sword of Caine.
A former highwayman, Serafino has clawed his way up from his humble beginnings, educating himself and becoming a guide to others in his service to the Sword. He has mastered languages, researched lores and the secrets of Cainite history, and has even grown to master the arts of Abyss Mysticism in an attempt to bring his mastery of both Obtenebration and himself to the next level, always seeking greater heights.
In recent years however, Serafino has become... somewhat odd. His moods change abruptly, he abhors physical contact, and he no longer seems comfortable in his own skin, the positioning of his body often unnatural as if he forgets that he has bones and limbs made of solid flesh. Regardless of these issues, and whatever their source, Serafino has not allowed them to diminish his drive for success, and has recently been able to carve out a Diocese for the Sabbat in the High Desert of California, where he currently presides as Archbishop after his Blood Bath at the hands of Cardinal Venice St. Benedict.
In June of 2018, alongside his Templar Pierce Cross, Archbishop Morreti served as one of the first Sabbat Emissaries to the Camarilla during Marlow's party and the Founder's Ball.
In August of 2018, Serafino officially broke with the Orthodox faction of the Sabbat and transitioned into the Ultra-Conservative faction - ostensibly due to his shift in focus from pure religiosity to the political futures of the Sword of Caine as the expiration of the Blood Accords approaches in 2019.
In 2019, Serafino has undergone a series of strange changes, culminating in major shifts to his personality and appearance. He has been increasingly determined to continue his diplomatic efforts to see the Blood Accords renewed, and does not hesitate to tell others that adding another front of warfare in the face of the Second Generation's machinations is tantamount to existential suicide.
In October 2019, a conflict between Serafino and Inquisitor Seth Taggart came to a head, with the two engaging in Monomacy after Serafino declares Inquisitor Taggart the target of a Wild Hunt. The two met in combat overseen by Cardinal Youalahan, and though Serafino fought well he was ultimately unsuccessful in attaining victory. Serafino elected to step out of the Circle, and as such has been exiled from the High Desert.

"How do I speak on my cousin? Our political leanings stray... perhaps to be expected. But do not doubt the conviction of a Lasombra when in regards to his clan, or the Abyss. Where I a student of her philosophy, I would surely have been one of his first students. Perhaps we can work together to keep our clan Ascendant." - Diego Amador

I wanted him to suffer this forever. He has shown me enough that I call him my Priest now." - Gabriel Thompson
"I met Serafino in San Diego one evening. He speaks of many things, some of which are so ridiculously grandiose that even I, the most bright eyed and optimistic Anarch don't believe. Still, if what he does say is true, boy are we in for one heck of a next few years." - Lucius Brown

“I ain’t normally one to see passion and gain respect for the one displaying it, but when I saw him speak it was like the symphony I’d seen on paper but never heard was being played in that room. He put into words the thoughts that I’ve had rattling around in my skull for months, and he made people listen. The sword needs him now... particularly now.” — Serenity Crane
"I do not know if its proper for someone of my stature to consider Mr. Morreti a friend. Even so, he is my priest, and one of the few people who has seen the hardest part of my life play out. To me, he embodies the best parts of the Sabbat, even if that terrifies me at times. I couldn't have asked for a better mentor." -Rosemary Macht
Serafino seeks to abandon his physical body and wishes to become one with the Abyss.
Inquisitor Salamanca and Archbishop Morreti have a strained history.
Archbishop Morreti has never voluntarily entered torpor - this is the cause of his... eccentricities.
Actually abandoned his physical body to become one with the Abyss.
Was unimpressed and returned.
It may have been due to his new lack of opposable thumbs.
The now Archbishop has forgone torpor as a rest as a sacrifice to his study of the Abyss.
