"Beauty without intelligence is like a masterpiece drawn on a napkin."
— Lord Simon Kensington

PERSONAL HISTORY
He was born to a celtic slave turned free woman and her husband, a Roman General turned senator in ancient Rome. His birth name lost to antiquity and a closely guarded secret of Simon's. He was raised and educated by the finest scholars of the Empire. He rose to prominence as the child of an affluent and wealthy family and became a Roman senator himself. Here he was able to perfect his oration skills and his ability to persuade people. This is where he drew the attention of the Kindred of Rome. The three high clans of the city debated, bribed, dealt win boons for the right to embrace him. The Toreador were able to out maneuver the Malkavians and the Ventrue. In the 21st year of Simon’s life, A Venture kindred made a bold move and ghouled Simon and quickly covered his actions with boons. For almost the next 1100 years he was traded from one Domitor to another. Sometimes he was used to pay off a boon, sometimes he was brought into the fold when his domitor's rivals overcame them; thusly Simon received a new domitor. Sometimes he was purchased for his skills and knowledge accrued over a millennia of life. One such domitor was the nordic Nosferatu, Sonne.

Towns appeared that functioned as secular and ecclesiastical administrative centres and market sites. Sonne had set herself to learning more about the english views, language’s, economics, and political structure. She understood that it was vital to her survival, especially after seeing the complete cultural shift in England and Germany away from the Democratic system she had continually fought for and understood. To ensure her time was spent wisely sonne she sought out France’s court to acquire a ghoul. With sonne’s fortune and Social standing amongst kindred Society she was approached by a prestigious kindred, offering her a ghoul by the name of Jean-Francois. This was the name that Gaius had taken at the time to better meld with society. The Jean-Francois was a master of economical culture and prized highly for his many secrets, meaning he was perfectly suited for her desires and she purchased him. Sonne found the Ghoul was intriguing and questioned why he was not embraced. So, as she set the creature to task, all the while weighing his worth by granting the ghoul more freedom than most others. For the sole task of coaxing the ghoul in revealing the depth of his knowledge. Afterall, thralls were among the most important commodities traded by the Vikings and Sonne fully intended to absolutely know this ghoul's worth. After Sonne felt she was as educated on western society and she no longer needed the ghouls trade, she began to take bids from those who wished to take Jean-Francois. Her intention was to see the ghoul embraced to a formidable kindred in order to further her political power. In 1030 Sonne has been given word a Toreador wished to obtain Jean. Seeing the political value as well as the power behind the deal, not only for herself but for her sire, Sonne seals Jean-Francois’s fate.

His attitudes and world views are shaped by almost two millennia of living in darkness and blood. He sees himself as culturally superior to almost everyone else. He loathes caitiff and does not think much of those that cannot appreciate culture and beauty; even if his ideals of those things are atypical. He is hunted by a Sabbat pack for some ancient fued started hundreds of years earlier and takes the utmost care to cover his haven and tracks. He has never cared to learn the trappings of modern society and employs ghouls and Childer to handle such nuisances.

Looking ones best is a duty to the Tower

but never trust a man who does too much of either."
- S.A. Delacroix

"What is there to say about Lord Kensington that hasn't already been said? Poets have died trying to put him into proper pose. I wouldn't dare insult him by attempting to do so." - Aranea Kensington
"One does not inspire such greatness, without being able to inspire such fear as well. Such is the dream that he dreams, and such is that many will pay to see it happen." - Nathaniel West
"I think I met one of the most dangerous Elders I could imagine, though I find him to be the most cordial. A true gentleman. I found our talks quite enlightening." - Luciana Santora DuVal
"Words can not describe how deeply I miss my husband. He often said that I was the most perfect rose in his garden. However, I must continue on. He would have wanted me to continue to flourish. I only hope that I can continue to make him proud. " - Julian Motgomery-Westwood
"I refused his invitation to tea by giving him a better guest, and then made him pay far more than he wanted for an item of significance. I'm not dead, and he seemed rather amused. While I've no doubt that Elder Kensington has earned his years and has the potential to be quite dangerous - I'm sure we'll work in a more official capacity at some point. He's cordial and returns respect with respect. That's probably the most important thing to remember." - Simon Flint
"Elder Kensington possesses all the traits I look for in those I would keep company with. I rather enjoyed his visit to my city, and look forward to future associations. I would say his attention should be sought out, if you think you are worth his time. The only thing I would say against him is that he is clearly a prominent node in the Game. I don't profess to see where the strings come from, or where they all go, but my eyes see them constantly in motion. This makes him a terrible person to be around when you need a quiet evening, but an optimal companion when one needs to stave off ennui. " - Alistair Beckworth
"The only thing I find more charming than Kensington's refined appreciation for exquisite goods is that his pockets are deep enough to match. I'll do business with him any time." - Lucy Giovanni
"Rich ass motherfucker." - Jaxon
"Why do we call him 'Most Beloved'? Because our clan exists to impart passion, to keep us all connected to our emotions and our humanity. My family is a model of that pursuit, starting with the greatest of us." - Vivienne Stanwyck
"Simon knows how to have a good time without sacrificing grace or class - a rare feature among Kindred these nights." - Liam Kincaid
"He is a marvelous Elder with a rare mix of dignity and energy, it's no wonder so many seem drawn to him. It was thrilling to get his attention and a true privilege to hear a part of his story. I hope to do so again." - Claire Bradford
"À partir de mon évaluation à distance, je m'attends à ce qu'il soit un joueur de carte expert." - Ludovic Pétion

"As dull as he is irrelevant." - Roman
